Hello Atlassian Community!
The custom website connector lets Rovo index content from your company's websites, help centers, documentation portals, and intranets so that it's searchable in Rovo Search and usable as knowledge in Rovo Chat and Agents.
Today, I'm excited to share that form authentication support for the Rovo Web Crawler is now generally available! ๐
Many organizations host internal knowledge behind login-protected websites โ employee portals, internal documentation sites, HR knowledge bases, and more. Until now, the Rovo Web Crawler could only crawl public websites or sites secured with basic authentication. This meant that a significant portion of your organization's knowledge was invisible to Rovo.
With form authentication, the Web Crawler can now log in to your website just like a real user would โ filling in a username and password on a login form โ and then crawl the authenticated content behind it.
You can read more about form authentication and how to set it up in the documentation.
We'd love to hear your feedback! If you have questions about setting up form authentication or run into any issues, please let us know in the comments below.
Thanks,
Paul
