How Atlassian Marketers use AI & Rovo (Part 1)

Hey everyone! My name is Peter Partner and I am on Atlassian’s account-based marketing team. For marketers, some days feel like you're juggling a dozen different tasks at once, and it can really eat up your time.

To streamline some of our (otherwise tedious) processes, I have been attempting to build AI into our workflows every day/week.

As I saw a lot of interest around this internally at Atlassian, I'm kicking off a series of "how we do this thing" videos, highlighting some of the best ways my colleagues and I are actually using AI, Rovo, and agents in our day-to-day work.

Today's video features our Customer 360 Agent, an agent that helps to aggregate actionable insights from Atlassian's CRM systems. The agent helps me identify high-priority accounts for targeted campaigns, prepare for sales calls, and generate tailored prep documents. Being able to get the renewal dates, key contacts, product usage, and sales opportunities is a huge efficiency win for us.

The video also highlights how AI-driven insights support my white space analysis and campaign personalization, making it pretty valuable for anyone in the Atlassian Community interested in doing better, more impactful work in less time.

Can Rovo connect to the Atlassian MP REST API to pull licenses and evaluations and answer questions about our customers?

Yes, I believe Rovo can connect to the The Atlassian Marketplace REST API to pull license and evaluation data and answer questions about your customers (If you set up the appropriate integration)!

  • Rovo supports integration with external REST APIs through custom connectors or integrations.

  • To enable this, you’ll need to build or install a connector that authenticates with the Marketplace REST API and syncs license and evaluation data into Rovo.

  • Once connected, Rovo can use this data to answer questions about customers, licenses, and evaluations through its search and chat features.

  • There is currently no out-of-the-box connector for the Marketplace REST API, but Rovo is designed to support this type of integration.

Atlassian, please... Use the "minor change" button that you guys allegedly have when editing these articles. Or at least proof read an extra time before you post.
I had 12 (Twelve!) emails about this article this morning.
It's become a daily morning routine to trawl through my inbox and delete duplicate emails about articles that has been edited multiple times shortly after being posted, and honestly it's getting a bit long in the tooth.

This is not an incident that is isolated to just this post, though 12 emails is on the extreme end.
Normally it's "just" 4-5 emails for every article.

Like Rune said, its a bit much. Next thing will be to build a Rovo mail agent assistant to get rid of my multiplicate email messages from Atlassian and ensure I only receive the most recent ones.  Or you could post a comprehensive monthly update on new features...?
