Xray - "No tests were added to this Test Plan" error

Shay Yadid Erez July 16, 2025

Hi,

I created a new test case, as usual - I was going to add it to the test plan, but this time after selecting this test and adding it to the plan, I got the following error even after trying multiple times.
This test isn't different than the other tests, I made sure and compared between them. Seems like a bug to me...
Did someone face it?

Can you please confirm whether the test that we are trying to add here is searchable when we click on Add Tests?

Hi @Shay Yadid Erez ,

Thank you for reaching out.

This message doesn’t appear to be a bug, but rather expected behavior when trying to add a Test that’s already part of the Test Plan.

Could you please confirm if the Test was previously added?

Best,
Francisco

Hi @Francisco Fonseca _Xray_

This is a new test, it wasn't previously added...
I'm working with Xray for 4 years - I've never faced it before.

Thanks,
Shay

Hi @Shay Yadid Erez ,

That’s an unusual behavior. I suggest you reach out to our support team here.

It’s crucial that we document these incidents and enhance the product.

Regardless, as @Nagarajan Balasubramanian  mentioned, if you can share the steps you took before the message, I might still be able to assist you if there’s something missing.

Best,
Francisco
