Version Synchronizer is not working with Jira 8.8.1(Server Edition)

Version Synchronizer is not working with Jira 8.8.1(Server Edition). We are using REST API to create versions in JIRA 8.8.1 but versions are getting synched between projects. Same API was working fine with JIRA 8.4 server edition.
