TimeSheet Gadget Error

Hello,

We are experiencing an issue with the plugin developed for the Jira Data Center environment. When we add the “Timesheet” gadget to the dashboard, issues and entered effort are displayed without any problems for some groups, but we cannot see the same data for other groups. Specifically, when we select the relevant groups, the expected records aren’t listed, or the details don’t appear when we hover over them. What is causing this issue? Do you have any suggestions? 

For example When I select group X in the “Show summary for users in JIRA groups” field and hover over a report with the mouse, I can see how much effort was entered for each issue, but I can’t see this for some groups. What could be causing this? Where should I look?

First of all, welcome to community! ✨

This might be due to Jira Permissions restrictions or group configuration preventing the plugin's background REST API calls from fetching worklog data for certain groups. 

You can try the below workarounds:

1. Check Jira Project permission: Go to Project Settings > Permissions for the relevant projects. Ensure you have both Browse Projects and View Worklogs permissions.
2. Check if users within the invisible groups are natively locking down their logs.
3. Check Plugin global permission: Navigate to the administration panel of the Timesheet plugin itself.
   • Go to Jira Administration > Manage Apps.
   • Locate your Timesheet plugin settings.
   • Look for configurations labeled View Permissions, Teams, or Visibility Groups.
   • Ensure the group causing issues has been added to the allowed viewable scope.
