Team calendar event reminders as hip chat messages instead of emails

Is it possible to have the reminders sent to my hipchat account instead of email?  

We are trying to go away from email, and I would actually get the reminders if it were posted to hipchat.   Also, this would be VERY helpful for all kinds of notifications as well to have alternate communication methods to send those updates.

At the moment the integration is not in place to send reminders to HipChat instead of email. It's a great idea, so I added it as a private comment on this suggestion ticket: Integrate HipChat and Team Calendars. Please vote for it and comment to communicate with the development team.
