ScriptRunner Script Registry doesn't complete

Running ScriptRunner (version 5.4.1) on JIRA version 7.6.4.

I attempt to run the built in script "Script Registry" but it seems to hang and never complete.  The server acts as though it gets locked up, I see a 'waiting for available socket" error if I open another page.  I am trying to check scripts / postfunctions from an older version of JIRA.

At some point it completes or the process ends.  I'm able to see one portion of the results, but can't scroll down.  The process continues to run, and sometimes Chrome will want to kill the process because it thinks the page is frozen.  Eventually the page (using Chrome) turns blank.  Eventually I can see and interact with the JIRA instance again.

Is there a way to prevent this from hanging / freezing?  Or is there another way to quickly check that these scripts are using the correct classes for JIRA 7?

Having the same issue, too. Did you find a solution elsewhere?

I haven't.  I moved to using a combination of ScriptRunner / IntelliJ and the IntelliJ ScriptRunner plugin to check the scripts individually as I develop.  I check  the scripts as I am writing them, and you could copy and paste an old script into IntelliJ and the code checking will tell you if you are using any deprecated code.

You can find the details here:  https://scriptrunner.adaptavist.com/latest/jira/intellij-integration.html
