Hello, I have a question about configuring Rich Filters. Essentially, I'm looking to base a query in one rich filter results set on the results of another rich filter results set.
We have been tracking Objectives and Key Results in Jira as their own work items with Key Results being children of Objectives. We also have epics and other work items that are supporting those OKRs so they have an issueimplements relationship to the Objective or Key Result. I am looking for Rich Filters to be able to show me, as I'm drilling down into the data, what those children or related work items are. So if I focus on a set of Objectives, I can see what key results we're tracking and what work is supporting the objectives.
I'm struggling with how configure the smart/dynamic filters that would give me what I'm looking for. Any suggestions?
As far as I know, Rich Filter dynamic filters operate on field values within a single base filter result set. They do not re-run a query against the output of another rich filter, so cascading along parent or link relationships is not something the app does out of the box.
What I would do instead:
An automation rule on the issue link created can populate that field, keeping manual effort low.
Cheers, Martin
