Missing Baseline data in Structure Cloud columns

I have configured a Baseline in my Structure (Cloud version), but I am unable to see any data in the "Baseline Start" and "Baseline Finish" columns, even though they have been added to the view.baseline.jpg

Hello @Amir Noseri

Based on the screenshot, you have two custom fields in Jira named 'Baseline Start Date' and 'Baseline Due Date'. Please note - these fields are not created by Structure, and they, by default, have no relation to the baselines functionality in Gantt Charts. Our app doesn't create any custom fields, custom link types, etc in your Jira.

You can have two different types of baselines:

- Gantt-based: you can simply save the current state of your chart, creating baselines fro every task on it. Such baselines exist only locally on the Gantt chart, and at this time, their dates cannot be displayed in the structure.
- Jira-based: you can define two Jira fields as the Start & Finish date, creating custom baselines. Such baselines are based on Jira data, so they are consistent across all chart where the same work items are used. You can display these dates in the standalone columns of both fields in the structure.

E.g. if you set values in the 'Baseline Start Date' and 'Baseline Due Date' fields that you have, and create a Jira-based baseline using these dates, you should see both the baseline on the chart, and the dates in the columns in your structure.

I hope this helps. If you gave more questions about Gantt Charts, please reach out to us directly at our support portal.

Hi,

In Structure Cloud, Baseline Start/Finish values appear only after the baseline is created from actual schedule data (typically in Gantt) and applied to the structure.

# Simple practical steps

1. Open the Structure → switch to **Gantt view**
2. Ensure tasks have valid **Start/Finish dates** (or scheduling data)
3. Create or update the **Baseline** from the current schedule
4. Make sure the baseline is **active/applied** to the structure
5. Add **Baseline Start** and **Baseline Finish** columns (if not already)
6. Refresh the view

## Important notes

* If items have no schedule dates, baseline fields will be empty
* Baselines capture a snapshot — they don’t populate automatically without scheduling data
* Verify you’re viewing the same structure where the baseline was created

Hope this helps 👍
