Is the Smart Checklist function a native featureset in Jira or is it an add on?

I am unable to find how to enable the SmartChecklist functionality in our Atlassian instance.  In my past job, we used it both in JSM and Jira Software.  Looking for assistance.

you can use free checklist form Atlassian. Just click on checkbox button or type []. Also you can combine it with dates (//) or mentions (@)

Hi @Lynn Wilson and welcome to the Community!

I'm quite sure what you are referring to is one of many marketplace apps to manage checklists.

Inside a description field, you can now natively add action items in Jira like you can in Confluence. That is native functionality. But more advanced options are available through the marketplace.
