I have added zephyr to Jira, but i can't see the issue type test being created

In my project, the issue type test already existed. I have installed zephyr for Jira, and under the issue types, I still see the old issue type test there and don't see the issue type Test provided by zephyr( as the older one doesn't give the means to add test steps and all. How do I correct it? I have test cases and cycles created in Zephyr. Will uninstalling and reinstalling remove my zephyr data

Mostly it will not be removed if the data is stored in the JIra Db. Check the policy's of the on the Atlassian Marketplace or reach out to the apps support department.
