I am unable to generate Zephyr Access and Secret keys

I have Zephyr Essentials installed and enabled on my Jira Cloud.

Additionally, I have TestComplete, which I would like to integrate with Zephyr to track progress and results of the test execution.

I was able to generate Jirs API token but am unable to find the way of generating Zephyr Access and Secret keys.

The online help/training articles do not help.

Can someone who has their own experience with such integrations help me to figure out what is wrong with my setups, please?

Hi, did you find a solution to this?

I have the same issue. I can't login/connect via TestComplete > Zephyr.

Hello Frederik,

So far, I am still struggling with Zephyr-TestComplete implementation.

Turns out SmartBear is jiggling between the product names, and what was earlier the supported product is now not, because they decided to change the product name in the middle of its use. I was trying to speak to their Customer Support. And know what, they are in India and do not strive to resolve this issue within our time zone timeframe.

I had to involve my management, who is extremely angry at SmartBear. I hope this will get us closer to the resolution. I will try to keep you posted

Hi,

Zephyr Essentials (Zephyr for Jira Cloud) does **NOT use Access Key or Secret Key** authentication. Those keys are only for **Zephyr Scale or Zephyr Enterprise**, not Essentials.

Since you’re using Zephyr Essentials, you don’t need separate Zephyr credentials.

Use your **Jira email + API token** to authenticate

Integrate TestComplete via **Jira REST APIs**

You will not find Zephyr Access/Secret keys because they don’t exist for this version

If you need deeper automation integration with dedicated API keys, you would need Zephyr Scale or Enterprise.

In short: **Your setup is fine — just use Jira API token–based authentication.**

Hi Prasanna,

I was trying to connect the TestComplete project to Jira, but ended up with the message "No Zephyr access key is specified. What am I doing wrong?
