Hi
I have asked a couple of questions recently about a well-known p l u g i n that runs scripts.
Both times my questions have been moved out of Jira Q&A and into AppCentral where they get very few views and no answers. This is frustrating because I know there are loads of experts here who would be willing and able to help me.
Does anyone know how / why / since when the questions on that particular topic have been moved into (hidden in) the other forum? And how can I avoid that happening?
And any experts on that topic please take a look in AppCentral where you'll find my questions sadly languishing among a load of ads :(
Thanks,
Julia
Hi @Julia Foden just for clarification, are your questions specifically about Scriptrunner? If so, have you tried contacting Adaptavist for Scriptrunner Support?
Here's the link to their Support tab on the marketplace for Scriptrunner: Scriptrunner support
I see on the marketplace, they have a separate link to submit a support request. As your question isn't specifically regarding Jira, I would figure that's why it's getting moved.
Hi @Julia Foden , to answer your question about why they get moved, the Community guidelines are that if something is specifically about a plugin or app, they should be posted in the App Central forum rather than a product-specific forum. I'm sorry you haven't gotten many answers to your questions but hang in there! App Central is heavily used by both gurus and the vendors who build the apps. Maybe this post will help get more attention to your posts in the future. 😊

Hi @Dan Breyen @Susan Waldrip Thanks for your replies.
Dan, yes it's about Scriptrunner. I didn't mention the name, hoping that if it's an automatic process moving my questions that it might not get noticed! But it was still moved, even though it's a general question about how the forums are managed . . .
I know about Adaptavist support, thanks. There are two reasons I wanted to ask here -
1. Most of what I have learnt about Scriptrunner has come from googling and then landing on Atlassian Community questions where people have helped each other out on specific problems. Those answers remain available for other people to learn from and adapt. Any answers to my questions could be useful for people searching in the future.
2. I don't have much experience with Adaptavist support (only in a previous job a few years back) but I do know that there are a lot of experts in this community.
Susan, thanks, I think it must be a fairly new policy of moving them? The older Q&A's that I found by searching were, I think, in Jira forum.
Anyway, I live in hope :). And now that this post itself is in AppCentral there's no harm adding the links to my questions:

Hi @Julia Foden ,
Thanks @Abi Brown- Kolekti for the suggestion!
I am a Senior Customer Success Manager with ScriptRunner. Firstly, I want to let you know that I will have a look at AppCentral to see if I can find your unanswered questions and help where I can!
Secondly, while I am unable to tell you why the Atlassian Community process has changed, I would like to introduce you to ScriptRunner Loop! This is ScriptRunner's own community platform, designed specifically to not only allow you to ask questions of the experts (You will find a lot of ScriptRunner staff there as well as other experts)
You also have the benefit of being able to see the latest news, releases and whats new with ScriptRunner in one place.
I will have a look at your questions on here, but if you are looking to get as many expert eyes as possible on a question, I would recommend posting to Loop!
Kind regards,
Bobby

Thank you for jumping in, and nice to meet you. I've seen your HAPI videos :)
I actually already posted on Scriptrunner Loop - I posted my second question here and on Scriptrunner Loop at the same time and so far I've had no response on either :(
I should say also that I raised my first question with Scriptrunner Support, I didn't hear back for a while but there has now been a reply that I've not had a chance to look at yet.
Thanks again and kind regards,
Julia
