Figma for Jira App – Linked Designs Not Displayed in Issue View / Cannot Add Designs

Hi everybody,

we are currently experiencing an issue with the Figma for Jira integration.

Previously linked Figma designs are no longer displayed within the Jira issue view. In addition, it is no longer possible to add or link new designs using the + Design button.

Interestingly, the Jira issue preview/card still shows the icon indicating that a Figma design is linked. However, when opening the actual issue, the linked design section is missing entirely.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open an existing Jira issue with a linked Figma design.
2. Observe that the issue preview displays the Figma design indicator/icon.
3. Open the issue in full view.
4. Notice that the linked design is not displayed.
5. Try to add a new design using + Design.
6. Observe that linking is no longer possible.

Expected Behavior:

• Linked Figma designs should be visible within the Jira issue view.
• Users should be able to add/link new Figma designs via + Design.

Actual Behavior:

• Linked designs are not shown in the issue view.
• Adding new designs is not possible.
• Only the issue preview still indicates an existing design link.

Environment:

• Jira Cloud
• Figma for Jira app
• Issue occurs across multiple tickets/users

Workaround:

As a workaround, adding the Figma URL manually via Add Web Link still works. However, we would prefer to use the native functionality of the Figma for Jira app as intended.

Are there currently any known issues or outages related to the Figma for Jira integration?

We are also experiencing this issue. Our Jira admins are the only ones who can still view & link designs.
