Error message

Hello,

Is there an option to make a behaviour \ workflow , that will check a condition and send an error message while it's false.

I would like to check 2 custom fields (Version picker and text field) , and when the user try to change the first custom field and it will be different from the second custom field, the jira will show an error message and did not make the change!

example:

custom field 1, version picker: 1.10.10.4

custom field 2, text field: 1.10.10.4

The user try to change custom field 1 to '1.10.10.5'

Jira will check if '1.10.10.4'=='1.10.10.5'

if false - Error message will show + custom field 1 stay '1.10.10.4'

Please, someone have an idea ?? :)
