Connect Jira Cloud with Github Enterprise Cloud with Data Residency

Hi Atlassian Community,

we will migrate from Github.com to Github Enterprise Cloud (GHEC) with Data Residency (xxx.ghe.com). Since the Github Marketplace is not available in GHEC with Data Residency we are not able to use the offical Github for Atlassian App: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1219592/github-for-atlassian?tab=overview

Does anybody face the same problem and how were you able to connect Jira with GHEC with Data Residency?

We're experiencing the same issue. Unfortunately, we don't have a solution at the moment.

I am there with you both. I am trying to connect the Jira cloud instance to the GHEC with data residency and the GitHub for Atlassian app seems to fails at the final handshake after you login and grant permissions to your account. 

Another option I looked into was setting up the DVCS connector but support for those ended back in 2024. 

At this point I am thinking I might have to set up some type of weird Jira Automation and webhook configuration but I am not very excited about it.

The main goal is to allow our business teams visibility into what is happening in GitHub, specifically and the app has everything we need. Its unfortunate.
