At Atlassian Team in Anaheim, yasoon had the chance to interview customers about their experiences with integrating Microsoft and Jira. Brian from MotoRad Ltd. shared how his team combined Jira with Microsoft 365 to streamline project management and communication.
Using Jira’s Kanban boards and backlog grouping by epics, the team reduced reliance on email and kept work moving efficiently, even without constant oversight by leadership. A challenge they faced was the cost of Jira licenses for all team members.
By integrating Jira with Microsoft 365, they could create issues directly from Microsoft Teams, track conversations, and collaborate without requiring every team member to have a Jira license. This improved communication, saved costs, and made adoption easier thanks to the familiar Teams interface. Next year, MotoRad Ltd. plans to expand Jira usage to more teams, with the Microsoft 365 integration paving the way for broader adoption.
