TeamTime 2.0 is live โ€” here's what changed and why it matters

We've been working on this release for a while, and we're genuinely happy it's finally out. ๐ŸŽ‰

TeamTime 2.0 moves to Forge and brings the three most-requested features we've heard from project managers, scrum masters, and delivery leads across the Atlassian community. Here's what's new โ€” and when you'd actually use it.

Previously, TeamTime was limited to three levels โ€” from epic down to subtask โ€” and didn't support other work item types as containers. That limit is now gone.

TeamTime now calculates across every level of your work item hierarchy, no matter how deep it goes or how your project is structured. This matters most when you're looking at a high-level initiative and need the real numbers: total estimated effort, total time logged, remaining work, and a ratio โ€” all in one place.

The top row of the report always shows the combined values of the selected work item and its entire hierarchy. Every row below it gives you the full breakdown of how that number was built.

Beyond issue hierarchies, TeamTime now lets you use sprints and versions as the basis for a report.

For a scrum master or delivery manager, this means you can open a sprint and immediately see total planned effort, time spent so far, remaining work, and how it's distributed across all issues โ€” not just which cards moved to "Done."

Same goes for release managers: select a version, get the full picture of what it takes to ship it, based on actual logged time and estimates โ€” not just issue completion percentages.

Saved reports with advanced filtering and export

If you've been rebuilding the same report every Monday morning, this one's for you.

Reports can now be created, configured, and saved for repeated use. The new data grid gives you advanced filtering so you can slice the data the way your team actually thinks about it โ€” by project, sprint, version, or a custom selection of issues.

When you need to share progress with stakeholders or pull data into an external tool, you can export directly to Excel (ready to send as-is) or CSV (for Tableau, Power BI, or any custom workflow).
