I'm currently taking part in #Codegeist 2025 as I thought this would be a great time to bring one of my ideas to life to solve a pain point that I imagine many of us have.
Problem:
I have a strong software development background and one of the key issues that I run into is ensuring firstly that tasks can be broken down into tiny steps with expanded detail, but primarily trying to ensure that team communication and testing handoff is smooth - from my experience it always relies on actions from the devs which can become sloppy and cause delays.
So I wanted to make something that integrates into nested checklists to automate this process - ie you finish your checklist and it automatically hands off to the tester and notifies the teams so that everyone can stay on the same page.
I also wanted to improve on the checklist experience while I was at it so have made them 'infinitely' nestable and each item can change to ie a title, text and 'triggers'.
The triggers are what allow the workflow capabilities which currently includes:
- teams notifications
- changing assignee
- blocking checklist
This is where we can get super creative!
Checklist workflows can be templated too for easier re-use.

Now, it works great for my use-case but I wanted to hear from some others on what workflow extensions could truly help the users and industries stay on track.
I have included some workflows that I thought could be useful to other industries in the docs but would be great to hear from people with deep industry knowledge so we can work together to get your processes running smoothly!
