When I first opened Jira, I’ll be honest — I felt completely lost. Creating custom apps, dashboards, or workflow tools seemed like rocket science. I don’t have coding skills, I’m a marketer, and I have only a few days of experience with Jira.
Then I tested a new tool my team developed: No-code Apps Creator, an AI-powered app for Jira. In less than 15 minutes, I built my own Jira app.
(You might think: “Oh, this is just an ad for a new app.” To be fair, it is, but only a little bit. Because I also want to share my experience: for a newbie like me, being able to create something in Jira felt amazing.)
My First Own App in Jira
I started small, with something practical:
👉 a widget that shows subtask progress inside a parent issue and highlights subtasks in red when the deadline is less than three days away. I just described what I needed in plain English. The AI generated the widget for me. A few clicks later, it was live in Jira.
