Happy spring (or autumn, if you're in the southern hemisphere)!
This new season brings some exciting news: we've updated Mosaic Advanced Edition with two new features designed to help your teams create limitless content in Confluence and manage it with ease.
Read on to learn what's new and how to make the most of these features.
The latest update includes two new features:
The HTML macro: Mosaic’s standard HTML macro, upgraded with JavaScript support for securely creating dynamic, interactive page content.
Space Manager: Scale your content creation and management from one simple but powerful dashboard.
We recently released a secure HTML macro to Mosaic to give you greater customisation and control over your content. Exclusive to Mosaic Advanced Edition, you can now add JavaScript to your pages.
Now, you can easily create:
Toggled or conditional content
Controlled client-side interactivity
Dynamic UI elements
Unlike some HTML macros, ours offers the highest level of security for your Confluence instance. All code is sanitised, and rest assured that it doesn't override Confluence permissions, access restricted content outside the viewer's access, or replace Atlassian's security controls.
You can use the HTML macro as easily as Tabs or any other Mosaic macro. Simply open a new page or live doc and start typing /html, then select it from the dropdown menu.
The macro editor will open automatically. Here, you can easily add your code using the appropriate tab.
Mosaic Advanced Edition customers get access to the JS tab, where you can add all your JavaScript code to make your HTML more responsive and interactive.
When you're ready, just click Save and see your new content in action on your page!
💡Tip: Don't know how to code? Use AI to generate it for you. Divide it into HTML, CSS, and JS, so all you have to do is paste it into the respective tabs in the macro editor. Everyone can enjoy custom pages, regardless of their confidence in coding.
The possibilities for what you can make with Mosaic Advanced Edition’s enhanced HTML macro are endless, from visually engaging page elements (like this countdown timer below) and interactive sections, to full, dynamic landing pages.
Space Manager is the new way to manage your content easily across all your spaces, letting you create and manage hundreds of pages at once. Plus, it's no-code (i.e. no learning curve), so anyone can get started viewing, building, moving, organising, and editing content in bulk from the get-go.
With Space Manager, you can:
Keep cluttered, disorganised spaces under control
Reduce cleanup requests and lighten the load for technical admins
Smartly scale content creation
All Mosaic Advanced Edition customers can enjoy Space Manager, simplifying content management without a separate app or prior technical know-how.
Users of Mosaic Advanced Edition can find Space Manager by navigating to Apps > Mosaic - Space Manager in the sidebar of their Confluence instance.
Once there, you can use the search bar to find the space(s) you'd like to view and manage.
Space Manager will load and display all the content in that space, and you can organise, edit, add, and delete content in bulk or individually as you please.
You can even create an entire space's worth of content in seconds with page tree presets, such as an onboarding training space, brand resources, or an HR space, to name a few.
Simply click + Create > Create multiple pages and select your space and a parent page to get started.
💡Did you know? Space Manager lets you create and manage up to 200 pages at once – that's double the limit of Confluence's built-in content manager.
We hope you're as excited as we are about these updates! Help us continue to improve Mosaic Advanced Edition by telling us what future developments or new features you'd like to see in the comments below.
