Here's the latest installment - a conversation with Krzysztof, Owner and CEO of Softgrown, a company known for transforming "wouldn't it be great if Jira could do that?" moments into real, practical apps.

Question: What's your role at Softgrown?

Krzysztof: I'm the Owner and CEO of Softgrown.

Question: How does your team come up with ideas for new apps?

Krzysztof: When working day-to-day with Jira and Confluence, sometimes you want to include a process or data that isn't available natively in the product. That's how it starts - by noticing what's missing and building it.

Question: What do you think has been the secret to your success so far?

Krzysztof: Build something that solves my problem first. Then wrap it in a great user experience and a fair pricing model.

Question: What is your most popular app? What problem were you trying to solve for customers when you created it?

Krzysztof: Our most popular app is Custom Workflow Condition, Validator & Postfunctions.

It helps Jira administrators push the limits of workflow automation by adding flexibility and customization beyond what Jira offers out of the box. It started as a simple way to streamline my own Jira processes, and it has grown into something that saves admins hours every week.

Question: What's next for you?

Krzysztof: The next big thing is our awesome upcoming audit app designed to make auditing and tracking activities in Jira simple, transparent, and fast. With its help, users can capture every Jira Cloud event in a structured, queryable format and understand how their work data is managed across all teams and individuals. It acts as an intersection of audit logging and analytics in Jira, is exceptionally lightweight and developer-friendly because we value efficiency and productivity in everyday tasks.

After the initial app release (coming very, very soon), we will expand the app's functionality with must-have features like export to CSV/JSON/XML, API access to events, dark theme support, and more!
