Managing the ISO 27001 Climate Action Amendment in Confluence Cloud 🌍🛡️

With the recent release of the ISO/IEC 27001:2022/Amd 1:2024 amendment, many of us managing Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) in Confluence are looking at how to best integrate these new requirements.

The Update in a Nutshell

As most of you know, ISO now requires organizations to consider climate change as a relevant factor within the "Context of the Organization." While this doesn't change the core security controls, it does require a refresh of your high-level documentation to ensure you remain audit-ready.

How we’re handling it in Confluence

For those using Confluence as a single source of truth, we’ve found that the most efficient way to stay current is by using structured, pre-configured space templates.

At QC Analytics, we’ve just finished updating our full suite of ISO template frameworks to include this amendment natively. We’ve focused on making these accessible for SMEs across different regions, with specific documentation available for:

  • English (Standard ISO/IEC 27001:2022)

  • German (DIN EN ISO/IEC 27001:2024)

  • Greek (ISO/IEC 27001:2022)

  • Integrated Systems (ISO 27001 + ISO 9001)

Streamlining the Process

Rather than manually editing every page, we use the QC Template Launcher (available on the Atlassian Marketplace) to deploy these updated frameworks directly into a workspace. This approach helps keep the documentation consistent and ensures that mandatory amendments aren't missed during the transition.

📢 Important Note for Existing Customers: Please note that if you purchased our templates prior to the last two weeks, these brand-new amendment changes will not be automatically added to your existing spaces. If you need assistance with updating your framework or require further help, please feel free to reach out directly to our support team at support@qc-analytics.com.

We’d love to hear from the community: How are you all documenting these new climate considerations? Are you adding them to your Risk Register, or keeping them within the Context of the Organization pages?
