How to take control of Jira Work item Linking : Show only the Link Types that matters

Many Link options and no control 

In large instances with a long list of link types can become overwhelming . When a user tries to link a work item , they have to scroll all links available to find the right one . 

The main problem that there is no controle over which link types should be displayed or used in each project . 

In this case , Advanced link manager solves this problem by giving you control over link types : 

  With this app you can : 

• Enable or disbale specific link types from a global configuration page (You can disable or enable links globally or per project )

This means users no longer have to choose from a long list of all the links available on your instance , Now only the enabled link types are shown in this list ( while creating a link between two work items , only the enabled link types in this project are displayed ) 

Even better if a team member creates a link between work items using the native jira interface with a disabled link type , In this case the system detects it and prompts them to fix it by displaying a flag in this link type used and suggest a solution such as change the link type or delete it .
