For more than ten years, I worked in the Atlassian ecosystem as a consultant. Most of the time I was “behind the scenes” — helping companies find and consolidate solutions through apps, but always in private projects, calls, or emails.
It worked well, but something was missing. All those conversations, all that knowledge, stayed outside the community.
This year, in 2025, I finally changed that. Since the middle of the year, I’ve been active in the community almost every day. And it has been a big change for me.
What I see now is very clear: the community is not only about support. It is a place where:
Customers learn that apps are not just add-ons, but a real way to go further when solving problems.
Vendors and partners show who they are, sharing ideas and building trust.
We, as professionals, can connect our work with a bigger conversation, and that makes it much more valuable.
I also notice how many vendors are already very active here. Their participation makes a huge difference, not just for their own products, but for how people understand the whole Atlassian app ecosystem.
Looking back, I feel I lost some years by not being part of this. But I’m happy I decided to change it — because every day I learn something new from the voices here.
I’d love to hear from others:
The community makes us stronger, and I’m glad to finally be part of it — not in the shadows, but out here with all of you.
