Hi community!
When we started building Simple Table for Confluence, the goal was always the same:
make tables in Confluence more powerful, while keeping them simple.
As a consultant for many years, I often saw teams depending on tables but struggling with the limits of the native options. They needed to organize, analyze, and make decisions from their data — but still keep everything inside Confluence, without adding complexity.
That is why we created Simple Table.
From the beginning we decided to build with the community, not behind it. Sharing our direction helps:
Customers, who better understand how the app can evolve with their needs.
Partners, who can connect and explore collaboration.
Other vendors, who see how apps together can make the Atlassian ecosystem stronger.
We want to be clear on where Simple Table is going next:
Integration with Page Properties → connecting tables with existing Confluence metadata.
Integration with other apps → we are already working with great vendors and community members, like:
Approvals from AppFox
Scroll Documents from K15t
Metadata from Communardo
Better Archiving from Midori
…and we would love to integrate with many more. If you are a vendor and want to explore this, let’s talk!
Pivot tables → take your data analysis one step further. Today you can already use Grouping, which is very powerful, and pivot tables will add even more flexibility.
Improved filter bar → we know filtering is key, and we are working on a better way to keep it powerful but still simple.
Simple Table will always focus on keeping things easy — but we also believe in sharing openly how we grow.
If you’re curious, you can already try Simple Table on the Atlassian Marketplace today.
Enjoy!
