🍻🍂 Apptoberfest '25🍻🍂 starts today!!

It’s time to celebrate because Apptoberfest 2025 has officially begun! 

Here's a recap of upcoming events this month:

• Join the weekly Community Discussions on Wednesdays 
• App Partners will post app demos from Oct 1-17. From Oct 18-25, Community members can cast a vote for their favorite demo in each category. Note that you only get four votes (one per category)!  

• Finale demo battle is on Oct 30th at the Appy Hour Party 

Here's what you can expect to see at Atlassian’s Apptoberfest and how you can participate: 

💬 Weekly Community discussions

Community members and customers, like you, can share experiences and read stories about key apps for products such as Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Bitbucket. Discussions will begin with a weekly prompt on the following topics:

• Oct 1, 2025 - Apps for DevOps

• Oct 8, 2025 - Apps for ITSM

• Oct 15, 2025 - Apps for Collaboration & Teamwork

• Oct 22, 2025 - Apps for Strategy & Planning

On each of the above dates, a discussion will kick off and you will have until Oct 26, 2025 to contribute to all of the conversations. Note, there are badges and prizes up for grabs to the participants (outlined below).

🏆 App demo competition

Vote for your favorite demo in each of the four categories! Each Community member participating will receive 1 vote per app category for a total of 4 votes. Categories include:

• Apps for DevOps

  • Apps for planning, coding, testing, releasing, monitoring, and automating software delivery.

• Apps for ITSM

  • Apps for IT service management, customer support, and operations teams to deliver efficient service.       

• Apps for Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Apps that enhance team collaboration, communication, project management, and cross-functional work.

• Apps for Strategy & Planning

  • Apps that help leadership and strategy teams align goals, track progress, report, and gain insights to drive organizational outcomes across teams and projects.

Demos will be posted by our wildly creative Marketplace Partners from Oct 1, 2025 to Oct 17, 2025 and the voting polls will close at the end of the day on Oct 26, 2025. We will have a winner in each category, and they will be announced the following week AND be entered into the finale Appy Hour Party. 

 Attention Marketplace Partners: If you’d like to participate in the demo competition, you will need to have an ‘Atlassian Partner’ lozenge on your Community Profile. 

If you don’t have one yet, please familiarize yourself with the information and process outlined here and take the Partner Rules of Engagement Quiz as soon as possible to ensure you’re all set.

🎉 Apptoberfest Appy Hour party

October 30th: This is a final celebration capping off Apptoberfest! Join us for an ACE Event Appy Hour Party that will also serve as a demo battle for the finalist apps. We look forward to seeing all participants in a live setting and holding casual Apptoberfest banter! (Link to register coming soon!) 

🎁 Let's talk about prizes! 

Between the engaging Community discussions and exciting demo competitions, a variety of exclusive Community badges will be available for you to earn! Below is an overview of the badges and the steps to obtain them: 

Apptoberfest '25 Badge: Awarded to Partners who submit a demo in the competition OR members who participate in at least 2 weekly topic discussions. 

Das Volk Voter '25 Badge: Awarded to members who cast a vote in the demo polls

Stand out Stein '25 Badge: Awarded to the 4 Partners (and their teammates) who win the demo competition in their category

Bountiful Bavarian '25 Badge: Awarded to members who participate in all four weekly discussion topics

Sparkling Sonnenblume '25 badge: Awarded to members who share their favorite demo by commenting on the voting hub posts

Five recipients of the Bountiful Bavarian badge and four partner app finalists will also receive a gift card to the Atlassian store!
