We’re thrilled to roll out Agile Reports and Gadgets 8.0, a game-changing release launched on June 19, 2025. This release introduces a smarter, faster UI, powered by Forge, and lays the foundation for future innovation with improved performance, native cloud scalability, and the Runs on Atlassian badge in sight.

Whether you're building reports in Jira daily or just getting started, this update delivers features to help you move faster and report smarter - from WYSIWYG editing to chart templates, new data sources, and fine-tuned filtering.

👉 You can read the full release announcement in this Agile Reports and Gadgets 8.0 launch article.

But that’s not all! 🎉
In parallel, we’ve released powerful feature enhancements across all our Agile Gadgets, including:

Smarter status selection for project-based charts: see only project-specific statuses when using Jira project as your data source – stay focused and speed up chart setup.

Enhanced issue hierarchies: renamed source, 3-level depth, and improved tooltips to make your work with issue hierarchies easier and more intuitive.

JQL-based multiple item selection in the Issues hierarchy data source: speed up parent issue setup in Scaled Agile reports.

More control in hierarchy filters for completed issues: analyze past projects with ease.

🧭 Smarter status selection for project-based charts

No more scrolling through irrelevant statuses! When you use a Jira project as a data source in Agile Cycle Time Charts, only statuses from that project are shown in the configuration panel, helping you focus on what’s relevant and speeding up chart setup:

🧩 Enhanced issue hierarchies: renamed source, 3-level depth, and improved tooltips

Working with issue hierarchies is now easier and more intuitive:

  • The “Initiatives” data source has been renamed to “Issue hierarchies” to align more closely with the Atlassian glossary.

  • You can now select up to 3 levels of hierarchy depth, offering more flexibility for complex structures:
