My name is Ada, and I'm the Product Marketing Manager for Confluence Server at Atlassian. If you missed our last post, we're transitioning to quarterly updates so you can review all product updates in one, summarized digest. Here's August's update:
To help admins minimize planned downtime, we introduced read-only mode for Confluence Data Center in our 6.10 release. Other features in this release include technical improvements to search, a new approach in Confluence Data Center for resource-intensive tasks and support for Microsoft SQL Server 2016.
Last week, we shipped Confluence 6.11. In this release, we're making it easier to make changes to files without the hassle of downloading and uploading multiple times. Users will be able to edit any file attached to a Confluence page using a desktop application, then save the file back to Confluence in a few clicks. Check out this gif for an example:
In 6.11, we also introduced a new monitoring framework to help Atlassian Support teams obtain relevant data if you run into issues with your instance, so we can identify problems and provide solutions faster.
And, in the latest version of the Confluence Server and iOS and Android apps, you can connect to the app using either HTTP or HTTPS. See our mobile documentation for more details.
We fixed 14 bugs in recent versions - check out the full list here.

Enterprise releases are designed specifically for larger, more complex instances – ones that require significant planning and effort to upgrade. These versions are vetted for enterprise scalability and will have critical bugfixes backported regularly, so you can upgrade with confidence. Learn more here.
