how can we move issues from one sprint to another once it's already begun

we can't seem to move items in our open sprint into a new sprint. we want to close out the existing sprint and start a new one but we cannot because we have issues that have not been completed and can't move them to a new sprint. Perhaps because they started

The GH is by design not allow to do that, it is also from the concept of Scrum that not kicking issue out from the swimlame once it begum but push it back to the backlog once it is done.
