Reports to get Flow Metrics

At the end it mentions some custom reports that can be used to get the Flow Metrics, does anyone know what reports they are referring to?

I believe JIRA Align supports Flow Metrics, however I don't think we have JIRA Align, we have JIRA software.

Has anyone any advice on how to measure Flow Efficiency in JIRA Software?

Hi @Leila Nightingale 

Short answer: This is not possible with out-of-the-box Jira Cloud.  The closest built-in tools are Atlassian's interpretation of a Control Chart and a Cumulative Flow Diagram (CFD).

Longer answer: 

• That article about SAFe,--which is essentially rebranding common process measures of WIP, Age of WIP, Lead Time, etc.--seems to target addon products from the marketplace, particularly re-sellers of SAFe related/licensed content.
• Thus you could investigate marketplace addon apps for such measures to see them automatically computed and graphically shown.  I respectfully suggest to consider what you want to measure, why, and then ask the vendor to explain how they produce their measures to confirm it is what you expect.  Avoid the ones who claim measuring things like Age of WIP is a proprietary formula.  Then try a few vendors as trials before selecting.
• You could also build your own measures using automation rules and custom fields, although this will take a bit of work to develop, and would need customization by project.
