I have a project that originally have 5 release dates.
The release dates were incorrect. I tried to set fixed release dates, but they wouldn't persist. I.e. every time I commit the changes to Jira and re calculated and refreshed the plan the release dates reverted to different fixed release dates.
I tried to set release dates in Jira on the project releases page, but every time I changed any dates, or deleted them, the changes would not persist - i.e. they reverted to some other release date.
I tried deleting all of the releases and creating one release in their place with a dynamic release date and 'start as early as possible'. I assigned issues to this release in portfolio, calculated the plan, and the release date became a fixed release date.
What's going on?
The release is not dependent on any other release and there are no releases dependent on this release.
There are no issues in the release with 'target end dates'.
I find it strange that the even when I change the release dates in Jira they immediately revert to their original values, without going back to portfolio and committing anything. This makes me wonder if there's some cache data that should have been removed. Do Jira cloud applications have a cache? Can the cache be cleared?
Any suggestions?
Hi Thomas,
I've checked that you opened a ticket related to release dates and it looks like it's the same issue here.
I'll be watching the ticket and once it's resolved, I'll post the resolution here.
Regards,
Angélica
