Portfolio for Jira - "Unable to commit the item's release"

Hi Everyone - When trying to update an Epic's release and then commit using portfolio for Jira I get the following warning. 

It's not any of the warnings mentioned in the help documentation here. Thoughts on where to start looking?

I am also getting the same issue, and no indication of why it can't update the release.
