How to Connect Advanced Roadmaps to Assets from Asset and Inventory Manager,..

currently there isnt a way to connect items in Advance roadmaps to other issues types outside of the original scope so i cannot plan asset use from asset in asset and inventory manager. Is there a way possibly using REST or groovy scrip to get around this?
