How are people finding advanced roadmaps?

I am interested in using advanced roadmaps but would be interested to hear what others have been able to achieve with the feature before. One thing I am not clear of is whether your roadmap updates to reflect delays and extensions of work within the sprints? E.g. if a ticket (or epic) is estimated to take 5 days but in reality takes 10 - is this reflected within the roadmap? And can I see the initial estimate time vs achieved?
