Will the "set original points from current" be available in future releases?

In the old planning experience there was a possibility to set original points from current plan. Will the functionality be available in future releases? We still would like to be able to keep the original estimations in order to compare them over time.

But to summarize we are tracking interest in adding the original points/estimation to the new planning experience at the following feature request:

Make sure to add a vote, and if you have time to do so please add some feedback on your use case and how it is impacting you and your teams workflow as a comment on the request, as end user feedback is extremely helpful for the dev teams when following up on the feature roll outs.
