Jira Portfolio not allowing me to add custom field

I am going into my plan and trying to add a custom field, select list single choice and it is showing unsupported.  The documentation says that single select fields are supported.  Is there anything else that would make a field unsupported?

Hi Jenifer, could you please tell us more about which version of Portfolio you are using? The Single choice select is supported in Portfolio from version 2.23

Hi Buu, 

I thought it was a select list but it is radio buttons and the version we are on does not support them. We are updating to a more current version, it looks like it is supported now.
