This is a general question as it pertains to upgrading. We want to upgrade confluence 5.4.4 to 5.6.1. Going through the administration section of Confluence and using the "Confluence update check" tool, we have a number of "incompatible" add-ons listed. Per notation on the page, it recommends that we contact the authors.
A number of the add-ons listed however are created by Vendor = Atlassian
Is it fair to say that doing this upgrade will also upgrade the affected or "incompatible" add-ons created by Atlassian?
For example, I have the following listed as "Incompatible" and vendor is Atlassian:
I also went back to manage add-ons and updated any of them which had available updates, and then re-ran the checker again to see the same resultes listed if we were to upgrade to 5.6.1
Hi Mel,
As you might know Confluence 5.6.1 is a pretty new version so it might take a little bit to have them compatible with Confluence 5.6.1. However, that shouldn't be a roadblock to upgrade Confluence 5.6.1. If you would like to play differently, I would suggest you to upgrade Confluence in a test environment, that way you can validate the data.
Cheers,
WZ

IM Presence and What's New still report as incompatible and What's New throws nasty errors. We're upgrading to 5.6.6 from 5.4.4!
