Hello everyone! I am finally starting my Atlassian certification journey, glad to be joining the group - so any tips or advice, I would greatly value! I have been managing Jira instances for about a decade now, but never bothered to get the cert. After several Enterprise level Atlassian clean ups, set-ups, migrations, and administration gigs - I guess its time that I made it official. ahaha
I recently earned the moniker the jaded Jira juggernaut for being a passionate powerhouse of Atlassian knowledge at my organization, conducting training and facilitating Jira configuration meetings and discussions, as well as mentoring and coaching Agile with Jira!
Welcome Amanda! I love your title of Jaded Jira Juggernaut! ! I am wanting to earn a cert, but i have just started working with Jira.
How exciting, congratulations!
p.s. I'm starting mine too!
Good luck, @MJ Valencia _draw_io diagrams_!
Congratulations! Thanks for inspiring me and others with your message.
Well put @Amanda Parrotta ! Thanks for sharing and looking forward to many posts from you as you get cert after cert after cert. :-)
@Amanda Parrotta welcome to the Atlassian Community! Make sure you join the Training and Certification group as you prepare for your studying and exams.
Hi @Amanda Parrotta , welcome to the Community! Nice to see your hard work is paying off with your colleagues -- we need more juggernauts!
Welcome to the group, I would recommend Atlassian University has a robust training material and you also get to practice in the sandbox environment.
Welcome @Amanda Parrotta ! Congrats on the recognition in your organization, and I'm sure you will achieve your goals with Atlassian certifications. Check out the group here on Community for tips and tricks and inspiration.
My tip would be schedule the exam! Once you have it on the calendar, it will light a fire under you, and you can do it :) As to when to schedule the exam, take a look at what's included, how much free time you have to study, and then work backwards.
Let us know how you're doing during the journey and if you need any encouragement or can give tips to others. Best of luck 🍀
Good luck, @Amanda Parrotta (and everyone else jumping into certs in this thread!) Hope to see you in the Training & Certification group!
Welcome, JJJ (or 3J?)! This is awesome. I'm sure you'll get lots of help along the way (and give lots of it too, I wager).
Hello, I'm in roughly the same spot. I've been leading my organization for several years in the JIRA & Atlassian journey; they haven't cared about certifications until now. I'm playing catch-up to get certs as quickly as possible. Looking into every avenue this community has available.
Hi Amanda - welcome to the party! Love your title!
Congrats, Amanda! It's fantastic to see someone with such a wealth of experience in Jira join the certification journey. Best of luck with your certifications—I'm sure you'll continue to be a great source of knowledge and support for your colleagues and the community :)
