×When I am asked what my job is I usually start by asking "Have you heard of Confluence, Jira, or Atlassian?".
If the person answers 'yes' then it is easy to describe my job working for an Atlassian Solution Partner.
I learnt at a recent conference that if the person answers 'no' then I am missing a decent elevator pitch where I can describe the tools I love working with using only a couple of sentences.
Do you have an elevator pitch for your job, the organisation you work for, and/or Atlassian?
The Wikipedia comparison is a frequent 'go to' for me
Nobody understands what a community manager does. My elevator pitch is usually something like, "My company makes collaboration software, and I manage an online forum for people who use that software." But it's way easier if people know what a community is, or what Jira is, or really any part of it!
Sounds like a job watching TV, or a taste tester at an ice cream factory. Jealous!
@Kat Warner I feel so lucky every single day!
