my account was not giving me access to the automation button, and there was an option to confirm my email i tried doing that, then i logged out and tried logging in again but instead it created a new account entirely with the same email

Have you experienced any data loss from the previous account you mentioned? It's important to note that Trello does not reset boards and workspaces after account confirmation.
