can't add EML. files anymore

Hi,

Until recently (lets say until 2 months ago) we were able to drag and add an EML file from our mail program (we use Apple Mail). It hasn't been working for a while now and I couldn't find a clear solution. Is there a reason why this happened, and do we need to change a setting? Or, is there an easy workaround?

Hi Rico,

Sorry to hear of your troubles with adding the .EML attachments. Trello doesn't block .EML files specifically, so it sounds like it could be something else. 

We're unable to speak of any changes to Apple Mail specifically, however it's possible that there could be an issue if there is a ':' symbol in the email you're attempting to drag over, such as 'RE: My Message', as operating systems do not usually allow files to contain that symbol in the name. 

Another way you can attach the file to Trello is to first save the .EML file to your desktop (or other location) first and then attempt to add it to your desired card. 

If you aren't already, you might be able to utilize our Email-to-Board functionality where you can forward emails straight to your board.
