Why there's not a DELETE button in the lists and cards?
Deleting a card is a major action and is unrecoverable and permanent.
Deleted cards can't be restored. To make sure that a user does not delete a card by mistake, this operation requires a confirmation click.
Hence it first needs to be archived and then deleted. This adds an extra step so that you do not delete the cards by mistake.
Also, if you just want to clear the card off your board, you can archive that card instead, so that you can access it again later, if needed.
Because delete is permanent and irreversible (without a huge amount of work restoring from a backup)
If people think there's a need to delete something, that's fine, but you should be asking the question of why they entered it in the first place.

I feel your pain.
Try archive. That's good enough.
If you don't want people to see it on. aboard, don't do either.
Simply move item to another bucket on an other board that is your own or private.
