Why can't i see the boards that others have added to Teams on my landing page?

When i get to my landing page i can see the boards that i created but i can't see the boards that others have created unless i click into "Boards" on for each Team. Can i add the other boards to my landing page?

@Daniel Gallagher your boards page shows boards you are a member of.

The boards page for a team shows you boards that either you are a member of, or that are team visible even if you're not a member.

The admin of a board can set whether or not a board enables "self join" for team members, and whether or not admin rights are required to invite others.
