I used to be able to drag links into Trello desktop macOS app and get a regular card with the link attached. That functionality died and after emails with support found out that it was killed of for some reason and that they changed it to creating a link card instead (super annoying but was told I was stuck with it).
Then I started to have an issue where if I created a new column, I couldn't drag a link to create a link card until after I refreshed the app. Annoying but refreshing worked 100% of the time so at least able to work through it every time.
Now, when I drag a link into the same app, the link doesn't even create a link card. Instead, nothing happens at all. Refresh and try again...nothing. Try dragging from a different browser...nothing. Different site? Nothing. The only way I can get the link on the board at all (at least via desktop) is to create a card, name it something, THEN drag the link onto the card. It's been happening for several days now.
Is this more functionality deliberately removed by Trello or is it a bug / something that can be resolved? This is killing my workflow! Any info is appreciated. Thanks!
It is working fine for me. Try re-installing the app.
