What is the difference between "added to" and "moved into"?

Andy McAfee April 5, 2024

I'm looking at the Automation rule triggers, and I'm curious what the difference is between "when a card is added to list..." and "when a card is moved into list..."?

I understand how to move a card to a list, but how do I add a card to a list?

Hi, @Andy McAfee

A card is "added" when it is created, thus this rule is used to detect that a card is created in a specific column. On the other hand, a card is "moved" into a column when it is changed from one column into another.

Hello @Camilo Galleguillos

Thank you for the explanation. After reviewing Automation Rules further, I see this explanation: "Added" means created, copied, emailed or moved into the list. "
