Update notification preferences

I receive a lot of unwanted notifications for Trello and I'm wondering if there's a way to update which action items I can be notified for?

For example: I get unwanted notifications whenever I'm removed from a card, the card moves, the due date is updated, and some other cases. 

Mainly I just want a notification if I've been added to a card or someone messages me on a card. 

Any suggestions?

Totally understand wanting to really fine tune what notifications you receive, but I'm afraid there are certain actions that will always send a notification to you in Trello. You can see a full breakdown of them here: https://help.trello.com/article/793-receiving-trello-notifications
