Trying to update our Trello Card Template to be used across multiple boards

We updated a Trello Card and made it a Template on 1 board.  Now we would like to use that Template Card across multiple boards.  Every time we copy it to another board, we lose all the updated information.  So, when moving the updated project card through our process boards, we lose all the updated fields as those boards have the original template on them.  What can we do to solve this issue?

If you have added custom fields to the template card, they won't copy across to the new one unless they have data in them.  Put some dummy data in and the fields will move across to the other boards.

Updated description and labels should carry across no problem...
