I searched and tried some of the suggestions with no luck, so I'm hopeful that by posting my specific question someone can help.
We have Trello cards on a Trello Board. Within the card I put a checklist with dates and assign the tasks. I did the calendar integration, which is super cool, but what I'd like to have happen is that when an item is checked OFF a checklist (as it's completed) I do not want it to pop up on the calendar.
All of the automation suggestions seemed to be for the entire card, not for an item on a checklist within a card. Let me know if what I want is possible. If not, it's no biggie - as sometimes checking what pops up on the calendar to verify it's done is good - BUT I'd rather keep items off the calendar if they're already done.
Thank you!
Lori
Hello, Lori!
Welcome to the community.
You’re right; Trello doesn’t currently allow for the removal of cards from the calendar view once a due date is marked as complete. However, I found that archiving the card does effectively remove it from the calendar.
You can archive the card as soon as the due date is completed or. to streamline your workflow, you can set up an automation using Trello's automation feature. This automation can automatically archive the card when the due date is completed. Here’s how you can do it:
Open automation: Go to your Trello board and click on the "automation" button in the menu.
Create a New Rule: Select "Rules" and then click on "Create a Rule."
Set the Trigger: Choose the trigger "When a due date is completed."
Add the Action: Select the action "Archive the card."
Save the Rule: Give your rule a name and save it.
With this automation in place, every time a card's due date is marked as complete, the card will automatically be archived, thus removing it from the calendar view.
For more details on setting up automations with, you can visit the Trello guide here: Automate Anything

Thank you Alisson - unfortunately it's not the CARD that I'm having trouble with - it's a checklist on the card. Is it possible to automate the checklist items to move to a "Done" card or something that I can set to not post to the calendar?
