Hi there,

Is it possible to track text changes within a card? If we wanted to see how someone had amended the text for approval?

Like within word where you can see the changes they have made.

Hi Kim,

The cards display the changes to text but you can export the card in JSON format to look up the changes.

Instructions for recovering a description

  1. Get the card ID for the card. This is included in the URL of the card, after the /c/—e.g. hpAcP7IS is the card ID for
  2. Using Chrome, install the JSONView Chrome Extension. Alternatively, install the JSONView Add On for Firefox.
  3. Log into Trello in Chrome or Firefox.
  4. Go to[card ID]/actions?filter=updateCard:desc, replacing [card ID] with the card ID you noted above.
  5. Look for data.old.desc for the old descriptions

You can read more about that here -

Let me know if this works :)
